Preaching is a living activity. The delivery of the Word is meant to be deeply informed by the relationship between pastor and people. There can be no substitute for being present in your own assembly when the Word is preached by your own minister. We strongly encourage you to listen regularly and receptively to the Word preached by your own teaching elder.
With that in mind, we offer the following sermons. If you find them helpful we would be more than happy to hear from you and to get to know you.
God, Jesus, and Us (1 Corinthians 1:1-9)
Psalms for singing
Psalm 36 stanzas 5-8
Psalm 130A stanzas 1-5
1 Corinthians is "Paul's most contemporary letter"--it addresses us directly about issues we face, and we need to listen to it. In his opening paragraphs Paul brings to the fore three basic facts that are foundational to how he's going to speak to us about contemporary issues faced by the church and the church's members.
1. Who God is--first and last in our thinking
2. Who Jesus is--central to the church's holiness, helps, and hopes
3. Who we are--called by God
