Preaching is a living activity. The delivery of the Word is meant to be deeply informed by the relationship between pastor and people. There can be no substitute for being present in your own assembly when the Word is preached by your own minister. We strongly encourage you to listen regularly and receptively to the Word preached by your own teaching elder.
With that in mind, we offer the following sermons. If you find them helpful we would be more than happy to hear from you and to get to know you.
What sort of theologian are you? (1 Corinthians 4:1-21)
Psalms for singing
Psalm 29 stanzas 1-3, 6
Psalm 73A stanzas 12-15
Paul continues to contrast his theology (the theology of the cross) with that of the Corinthians (the theology of glory).
1. Theologians of glory think that they're competent to judge other people, while theologians of the cross leave judgment to God
2. Theologians of glory think that they've arrived and now rule, while theologians of the cross know that Christ has called them to die
3. Theologians of glory are all talk, while theologians of the cross exhibit the power of godliness
4. Theologians of glory are still children, so theologians of the cross must show them familial love
