Preaching is a living activity. The delivery of the Word is meant to be deeply informed by the relationship between pastor and people. There can be no substitute for being present in your own assembly when the Word is preached by your own minister. We strongly encourage you to listen regularly and receptively to the Word preached by your own teaching elder.

Do Not Desire Evil (Numbers 25:1-18)
The apostle Paul gives the application of Numbers 25 in 1 Corinthians 10--'These things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did.' The drama of Numbers 25 is played out in three acts:
Act 1. The deceitfulness of sin--why would you desire a lie?
Act 2. The awfulness of punishment--why would you desire to suffer?
Act 3. The jealousy of God--why would you desire to violate God's glory?
